Abstract

Roundness as a measurable geometric value plays a critical role in a wide variety of applications where precise dimensioning of 2D shapes is essential. Understanding the mathematical bases for defining 2D roundness in general, as well as techniques for roundness measurement, offers us a valuable framework for tackling metrological challenges across scientific and industrial settings.
