An interview with Professor June Huh

June Huh is a mathematician known for his contributions to algebraic geometry and combinatorics. Born in 1983 and raised in South Korea, he earned his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Michigan, advised by Mircea Mustață. Among his many contributions, Huh is best known for his work on the theory of Lorenzian polynomials and the Dowling–Wilson conjecture for geometric lattices, which bridges a significant gap between Hodge theory and combinatorics. He has received many awards for his work, including a 2019 New Horizons in Mathematics Prize, a 2022 Fields Medal, and a 2022 MacArthur Fellowship.
